Green Mom Finds is a great online website that helps parents find safer, more environmentally-friendly products and services. It a green directory that offers tips and resources to help live a greener lifestyle. We were excited to be contacted by Green Mom Finds so they could trial our Digital Shower Timers. After they tested them, the “moms” posted a review on their website. We hope that this helps more parents and kids to get inspired and help save water!

So our office is trying to take up sustainable practices and we will be sharing some of our research and finds here. One that has come along that really felt like a simple small thing was reducing our usage of staples. Staples are small but they are a single use only item. By using the Stapless Stapler it makes the paper easier to shred and recycle and even to reuse; it also reduces the need for metal resources. The stapless stapler works best with 2-3 pieces of paper. Unfortunately, the clever paper ‘loop’ doesn’t take rough handling too well. For larger bundles of paper we use and then reuse paper clips as well as old fashioned bulldog clips. Now all we need is to find one made of recycled plastic and it’d be perfect. We found our Stapless Stapler here

After the whirlwind of showing at several Expos we are all back in the office together again. Tracy had a successful trip to the USA, showing at the LA Natural Products Expo West in California. There has been a lot of interest in the US and Canada and we are getting great feedback from the Expo.

It’s almost the day to switch off the lights for Earth Hour and make a difference to your CO2 emissions. See the skyline of your city darken and show what it looks like to make a difference. Thousands of individuals and business’ have already signed up to switch off for an hour at 8pm on Saturday night. There is lots of information and an easy registration form, if you haven’t already signed up on the Earth Hour website. What a great ripple effect we can all make!

It was last week but Ripple Products was featured on the ABCTV program Inside Business. My favourite is the closing with Tracy showing us how she rides. As my bike is definitely the most photogenic, it got the starring role. Not that Tracy doesn’t love her bike…it’s just how can you beat those streamers for live action coverage!

It was an early start today with a tea to go in the shiny red flask. After a quick ride in the dark with my new lights [love the new ankle flashers!], I settled into my corner of the intersection and counted 343 morning cyclists for Bicycle Victoria’s Super Tuesday. Even though it was cloudy and looked like it was going to rain, the bikes just kept on coming. And I did wear my free orange T-shirt, even though it was about 10 sizes too big!
